Reflection 1

I have learnt a lot during my MPU lessons every week. In the very first lesson, I was taught about Taylor's graduate capabilities( TGC ), where I learnt about the different abilities that will be obtained by the graduates from Taylor's College. And I realized that I need to embark on practicing lifelong learning in my daily life, since for everyone it is never too old to learn. Every human being on earth has the right to learn regardless of how old we are. This is because only via learning, we can improve ourselves and be a better person to embrace a better, brighter future.

At the second week, we were also taught to set our own goals. The MPU lecture taught us how to set our goals based on SMART, which we have to set our goals by making it specific, our achivements measurable, making sure it is attainable by taking the right steps, taking relevant steps to achieve our goals and lastly fixing a period to achieve the goals. The acronym: SMART really enlightened me by giving me a right direction and made me realize what I really want out of my life.

The third week we were taught by the lecture to explore our own personality. From the personality test, I am shocked and surprised to know my own personality, which I don't know at past . The outcome from the personality test showed that I'm an introverted extrovert, which means that I have both the personality of an extrovert and an introvert.In the mean time, it was fun looking at my friends' personality tests' results, which for some of them may be an ambivert, introvert or also an extrovert. As being an ambivert,I realized that sometimes I would like to be alone so that I could let my heart and mind settle down rather than always being in a group of people. But sometimes I would also scare the times of being alone as I would miss my friends' laughter.

In the next lesson where we took a test to find out our learning styles, I can say that I am not surprised to know that I learn by mixing a variety of ways as I do often use diverse methods to study. I think the results were pretty accurate, as it states that I'm a mixture of visual ,writing and kinesthetic learner. After this test, I'm able to find out the most suitable way for me to learn, study and do revision effectively and proactively,which can undeniably help me in my journey of learning.

For the lesson where we first time knew about SWOT, the lecture lead us to explore ourselves so that we could find out our own strengths and weaknesses, identifying our opportunities and also threats on our paths to success. SWOT Analysis literally gave me a clear mind on how to plan out the best and most relevant strategy to succeed, because I understand myself better now, and know in which aspects I am good or poor in.

For my latest lesson, I took my career test. Having an analytical mind makes me prefer to become a forensic(which is my dream since young) or a crime scene investigator. The career test gave us a few options of careers by considering our personalities and the ways we deal with problems . As the results indicated me suitable to be a dentist, lawyer or even a detective, I think that the career test was pretty accurate, since I always want to involve myself in these types of challenging and interesting careers for which I always have passion to do these kinds of things. Hopefully, I would be able to involve myself in a career that really suits me and my passion and values. All in all, MPU has helped me grow as a person.
